Follow these easy steps to get your Zanussi ZRT 173W6 Refrigerator up and running in no time.
The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport. Remove all packaging and any adhesive tape. Any remnants of adhesive can be removed using white spirit.
Clean the inside of the appliance and all accessories with warm water and a little bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litres of water). Dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, or highly perfumed cleaning products as these can leave residues.
Locate the appliance in a cool, well-ventilated room, away from sources of heat such as a cooker, dishwasher, or radiator. Ensure the air openings of the cabinet are not obstructed.
Level the appliance by adjusting the two adjustable feet at the front. If necessary, remove the washer to achieve the desired balance.
Whenever possible, the back of the appliance should be close to a wall but leave the required distance for ventilation as specified in the installation instructions.
Ensure that any electrical work required to install this appliance is carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. Check that the power plug is not damaged and the power cable is not squashed.
After installation, allow the appliance to stand for 2 hours before turning it on. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
Plug in the appliance and switch on at the mains supply. Turn the thermostat control to the required setting. A setting of 3 is usually suitable for normal operation. Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours to reach the correct temperature before placing food inside.
